What is DeFi?
DeFi (decentralized finance) rebuilds financial functions like holding, sending, lending, borrowing and exchanging without a central institution, using smart contracts recorded on a public blockchain. Read the full DeFi Explained guide for the complete walkthrough.
Is DeFi safe?
DeFi carries significant risks including smart-contract bugs, liquidation, depegging, impermanent loss and loss of private keys. Yield is compensation for risk, not free money.
Do you manage funds or give investment advice?
No. Understand DeFi is an educational publication only. We never ask for your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet access, and we never manage money on anyone's behalf. Treat any message claiming otherwise as fraudulent.
